Finlandia
Sibelius's patriotic tone-poem
Finlandia is Jean Sibelius's symphonic poem from 1899, an orchestral work that became a symbol of Finnish national identity during Russian rule.
The stirring hymn section, often called the Finlandia Hymn, is performed independently as a choral piece and has been adapted for Christian hymns.
The name also belongs to a Finnish vodka brand.
