Egyptologists
Ancient Nile scholars
Egyptologists are scholars who specialize in Egyptology, the study of ancient Egyptian history, language, literature, religion, art, and archaeology.
The field emerged in the early nineteenth century following the decipherment of hieroglyphics, and Egyptologists have since been responsible for excavating tombs, translating texts, and interpreting artifacts from one of history's most enduring civilizations.
The Egyptologists spent years cataloging the contents of the newly discovered burial chamber.
