Dutch-American

From Holland, naturalized

Dutch-American describes people or things relating to Americans of Dutch ancestry, or to connections between the Netherlands and the United States.

A Dutch-American might be an immigrant from the Netherlands or a descendant of one: Dutch-American communities in Michigan trace their roots to 19th-century settlers.

The term also applies to cultural, business, or diplomatic relations between the two nations.
