Cotswold

Limestone village region

Cotswold refers to the Cotswolds, a range of rolling hills in south-central England known for honey-colored limestone villages, pastoral landscapes, and quintessentially English countryside.

The area is a popular tourist destination: We spent a weekend touring the Cotswolds.

Cotswold also names a breed of sheep native to the region, prized historically for their long, lustrous wool.
