Wensleydale
Crumbly English cheese
Wensleydale is a crumbly, mild English cheese from the Yorkshire Dales, traditionally white but sometimes blended with cranberries or apricots.
It pairs famously with fruitcake or apple pie: a slice of Wensleydale with Christmas cake.
The cheese gained renewed popularity through Wallace and Gromit's animated enthusiasm for it.
