Cook Islands

Pacific self-governing territory

The Cook Islands are a self-governing territory in the South Pacific, in free association with New Zealand.

The fifteen islands spread across a vast ocean area but have a small total land mass.

Rarotonga is the main island and population center.

We spent two weeks in the Cook Islands.

The territory is named for British explorer James Cook.
