Christmas market

Festive outdoor shopping

A Christmas market is an outdoor fair held during the Advent season, featuring stalls selling crafts, ornaments, seasonal foods, and mulled wine.

The tradition originated in German-speaking countries, where such markets are called Weihnachtsmärkte: We wandered through the Christmas market sipping Glühwein.

Most operate from late November through December.
