Lutheran Church
Reformation-era denomination
A Lutheran Church is a Christian denomination following the theology of Martin Luther, the 16th-century German reformer who broke from Roman Catholicism.
Lutheran churches emphasize salvation by grace through faith and the authority of scripture.
The term also refers to a building where Lutherans worship: We were married at the Lutheran church on Fifth Street.
