Chinese sausage

Sweet dried links

Chinese sausage is a dried, cured pork sausage used in East Asian cooking, typically sweet and slightly smoky.

Unlike Western sausages, it's firm and waxy, requiring cooking before eating—usually sliced thin and steamed, stir-fried, or added to rice dishes: The clay pot rice was topped with sliced Chinese sausage.

Also called lap cheong.
