Atlantic Wall
Coastal defense system
The Atlantic Wall was a system of coastal fortifications built by Nazi Germany during World War II, stretching along the western European coastline from Norway to Spain.
Designed to repel an Allied invasion, it consisted of bunkers, artillery emplacements, and beach obstacles.
The wall famously failed to stop the D-Day landings at Normandy in June 1944.
