Conservation or wrestling
WWF is an abbreviation with two major referents.
The World Wildlife Fund (now World Wide Fund for Nature outside the US) is an international conservation organization, recognizable by its panda logo.
The World Wrestling Federation was the dominant American professional wrestling company until a trademark dispute forced it to rebrand as WWE in 2002.
Context usually makes the meaning clear: WWF is working to protect endangered species versus I watched WWF every Saturday as a kid.
