workshopping

Group feedback session

Workshopping is the process of developing something—typically a creative work—through group discussion and feedback.

Writers workshop manuscripts, playwrights workshop scripts, and teams workshop ideas before finalizing them.

The word suggests collaborative refinement: We spent the afternoon workshopping her short story.

It can also mean attending or conducting a workshop: I'm workshopping with a ceramics collective this summer.
