women of color
Non-white female demographic
Women of color refers collectively to women who are not white—Black, Latina, Asian, Indigenous, and other non-white women considered as a group.
The term emerged from feminist and civil rights discourse to name shared experiences of marginalization across racial categories: Women of color face particular challenges in corporate leadership.
It emphasizes solidarity while acknowledging diversity within the group.
