white ladies

White ladies are pale female ghosts or spirits in folklore, typically appearing in flowing white gowns and haunting specific locations—castles, crossroads, or sites of tragic deaths.

Stories appear across European traditions, often involving women who died violently or while waiting for absent lovers.

A White Lady is also a gin-based cocktail with Cointreau and lemon juice.
