women's liberation
Female emancipation movement
Women's liberation is the movement advocating for women's social, political, and economic equality with men.
The term emerged in the 1960s and 1970s alongside women's lib and was associated with activism for reproductive rights, workplace equality, and freedom from restrictive gender roles.
Now somewhat dated, having been largely replaced by feminism: My mother was active in women's liberation.
