Traditional morality politics
Social conservatism is a political philosophy that values traditional institutions, customs, and moral standards—typically emphasizing family structure, religious values, and established social norms.
Social conservatives often oppose rapid cultural change on issues like abortion, marriage, gender roles, and sexuality: Social conservatism dominated the party's platform.
The term sometimes carries connotations of resistance to progressive reforms.
