windowpanes

Transparent wall sections

Windowpanes are the individual sheets of glass set into a window frame.

A single window may contain multiple panes divided by wooden or metal strips called muntins.

The word also refers to a potent form of LSD distributed on small, thin gelatin squares: We dropped windowpane at the concert.
