ventrally
On the belly
Ventrally means on or toward the belly side of an organism—the front surface in humans, the underside in animals that walk on four legs.
The term appears in anatomy and biology to describe position or direction: The tumor was located ventrally.
The opposite is dorsally, toward the back or spine.
