posteriorly
In back direction
Posteriorly means toward or at the back or rear, used almost exclusively in anatomical and medical contexts: The tumor extended posteriorly toward the spine.
It contrasts with anteriorly (toward the front).
Outside technical writing, behind or backward serve the same purpose without the clinical tone.
