uncontrollability
Defying all restraint
Uncontrollability is the quality of being impossible or extremely difficult to control, manage, or restrain.
The term appears in clinical and technical contexts to describe phenomena that resist intervention: the uncontrollability of intrusive thoughts, the uncontrollability of wildfire spread in drought conditions.
It emphasizes not just that something is currently uncontrolled but that control itself may be fundamentally unachievable.
