turn signals
Directional intent lights
Turn signals are the blinking lights on a vehicle that indicate an intended lane change or turn.
Also called blinkers or indicators.
The term extends to the lever or switch that activates them: Use your turn signal before changing lanes.
Failing to use turn signals is a common complaint about other drivers.
