hazard lights
Distress signal lights
Hazard lights are a feature of modern vehicles that causes all of the turn signal lights to flash at once.
Their purpose is to signal to other drivers that the vehicle is broken down, or that there is something else wrong with it.
In some places, hazard lights are used to signal to other drivers that they need to go around the vehicle using another lane.
In other places, this is illegal.
