turista

Sightseer from abroad

Turista is traveler's diarrhea, especially the kind that strikes visitors to Mexico and other Latin American countries.

The word is Spanish for "tourist" and captures the irony that locals rarely suffer what afflicts newcomers: I got hit with turista on the second day and spent the rest of the trip near a bathroom.
