transplanter
Seedling relocation tool
A transplanter is a person or device that moves plants from one location to another—typically from a seedbed or nursery to their permanent growing site.
Agricultural transplanters are machines that automate this process: The tobacco transplanter set out three thousand seedlings in an afternoon.
The term extends to anyone who transplants anything, including surgeons who transplant organs, though that usage is rare.
