bps
Modem speed measure
Bps is an abbreviation for bits per second, a measure of data transfer speed.
Internet connections, file downloads, and streaming quality are often described in kilobits (kbps), megabits (Mbps), or gigabits (Gbps) per second: My connection maxes out at 100 Mbps.
Not to be confused with Bps (bytes per second), which measures eight times as much data per unit.
