tonsil stone
Cryptic tonsil deposit
A tonsil stone is a small, calcified deposit that forms in the crevices of the tonsils.
Made of bacteria, dead cells, and food debris, tonsil stones are usually harmless but can cause bad breath and throat discomfort.
Also called a tonsilith.
I coughed up a tonsil stone and nearly gagged.
