time traveller

Temporal journey taker

A time traveller is someone who moves between different points in time, a concept from science fiction rather than established physics.

The idea appears in countless stories where characters visit the past or future: The time traveller stepped out of his machine into Victorian London.

Occasionally used figuratively for someone who seems out of step with their era: With his flip phone and vinyl collection, he's a time traveller from 1995.
