thymoma
Chest gland tumor
A thymoma is a tumor arising from the thymus gland, located in the chest behind the breastbone.
Most thymomas are slow-growing and benign, though some become invasive.
They're often associated with autoimmune conditions, particularly myasthenia gravis: The patient's thymoma was discovered during workup for muscle weakness.
