thrash metal
Aggressive shredding genre
Thrash metal is a subgenre of heavy metal that emerged in the early 1980s, characterized by fast tempos, aggressive guitar riffs, and rapid-fire drumming.
Bands like Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth defined the sound.
The name comes from the intense, thrashing style of playing and the physical movement it inspires in audiences: The mosh pit erupted during the thrash metal set.
