Megadeth

Mustaine's metal band

Megadeth is an American thrash metal band formed in 1983 by guitarist Dave Mustaine after his dismissal from Metallica.

The name suggests apocalyptic destruction on a massive scale—a megadeath being a unit measuring one million deaths, used in nuclear war projections.

The band is considered one of thrash metal's "Big Four" alongside Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax.
