thalamic
Sensory relay hub
Thalamic means relating to or involving the thalamus, a structure deep in the brain that relays sensory and motor signals to the cerebral cortex: thalamic neurons, thalamic stroke.
The thalamus acts as a central hub, so thalamic damage can affect consciousness, sensation, or movement depending on which region is involved.
