terraform
Engineer alien habitability
Terraform means to transform a planet or moon to make it habitable for Earth life—altering atmosphere, temperature, and terrain to resemble Earth conditions.
The concept comes from science fiction but appears in serious discussions of Mars colonization: It would take centuries to terraform Mars.
In computing, Terraform is infrastructure software, and the verb means to provision or configure systems automatically: We'll terraform the new servers tonight.
