tenor drum
Mid-pitched cylinder
A tenor drum is a cylindrical drum larger than a snare drum but smaller than a bass drum, producing a deeper tone without the snare's rattling wires.
In marching bands, tenor drums often appear in sets of multiple drums of graduated sizes played by a single drummer.
The instrument bridges the higher crack of the snare and the low boom of the bass drum.
