sun-centered
Copernican planetary arrangement
Sun-centered describes a model of the solar system with the sun at the center and planets orbiting around it.
The term is synonymous with heliocentric and contrasts with earth-centered (geocentric) views that dominated ancient astronomy: Copernicus proposed a sun-centered universe.
The phrase sometimes appears figuratively for perspectives that treat something as the central point around which everything else revolves.
