Ps is the standard abbreviation for postscript—an addition at the end of a letter or message, after the signature: PS: I forgot to mention the party is Saturday.
In digital communication, ps adds an afterthought to emails or texts, sometimes deliberately casual: ps, I miss you.
The abbreviation comes from Latin post scriptum, meaning "written after." (Uppercase PS is the same abbreviation in formal styling.)
