street artists
Urban mural creators
Street artists create art in public spaces—murals, graffiti, stencils, wheat-paste posters, and installations on walls, sidewalks, and buildings.
The term carries more legitimacy than graffiti writer, suggesting intentional aesthetic work rather than tagging.
Some street artists like Banksy have achieved mainstream recognition while maintaining anonymous identities.
