Sacre-Coeur

Montmartre's white church

Sacré-Cœur is a Roman Catholic basilica in Paris, perched atop Montmartre hill and visible across the city.

Its white domes are a landmark of the Parisian skyline.

The name is French for "Sacred Heart," referring to the heart of Jesus in Catholic devotion.

We climbed the steps to Sacré-Cœur at sunset.
