community murals
Public wall art
Community murals are large-scale artworks painted on public walls—buildings, underpasses, schools—typically created collaboratively by local residents and artists.
They often depict neighborhood history, cultural heritage, or social messages, serving both as public art and as expressions of collective identity: The community mural transformed the vacant lot into a gathering place.
