splashbacks
Kitchen wall panels
Splashbacks are panels mounted on walls behind sinks, stoves, or countertops to protect against water, grease, and food splatters.
Typically made of tile, glass, or stainless steel, they're both functional and decorative: We chose a mosaic tile splashback for the kitchen.
Primarily British; Americans usually say backsplash.
