smartboard
Interactive classroom display
A smartboard is an interactive whiteboard that connects to a computer and projector, allowing users to control applications, write, and draw directly on the display surface using touch or a stylus.
The technology became widespread in classrooms and conference rooms in the early 2000s, largely replacing traditional whiteboards and overhead projectors.
The teacher pulled up a video on the smartboard.
SmartBoard is technically a trademark of the company Smart Technologies, but the term is commonly used generically for any interactive whiteboard.
