side flip
Sideways aerial rotation
A side flip is an acrobatic maneuver where the body rotates sideways through the air, perpendicular to the direction of travel.
Unlike a front or back flip, the rotation axis runs from front to back rather than side to side.
Common in gymnastics, parkour, and tricking: He threw a clean side flip off the wall.
