back tuck
Reverse tucked flip
A back tuck is a gymnastics move where the athlete jumps backward and rotates in a tucked position—knees pulled to chest—completing a full flip before landing on their feet.
It's a foundational skill in tumbling, cheerleading, and diving: She finally landed her back tuck after months of practice.
Also called a backflip or back somersault.
