A sailing team is a group of people who compete together in sailboat racing, either as crew members on a single vessel or as a coordinated unit across multiple boats.
The term appears in collegiate, Olympic, and recreational contexts: She made the varsity sailing team her freshman year.
Unlike most team sports, sailing teams often compete in individual boats whose scores combine for team standings.
