A cycling team is a group of riders who compete together in bicycle races, sharing strategy, equipment, and sponsorship.
In professional road cycling, teams typically have eight or nine members who work collectively—drafting, blocking, and pacing—to help designated leaders win: The cycling team's domestiques sacrificed their chances to protect the sprinter.
Teams are usually named for their sponsors.
