ruralite
Non-urban area resident
A ruralite is a person who lives in the country, as opposed to a city or suburb.
The term often appears in discussions contrasting rural and urban populations: Ruralites tend to vote differently than their urban counterparts.
It's a somewhat clinical or journalistic term, less common than simply saying "rural people" or "country folk."
