romancer
Teller of tales
A romancer is someone who romances—courts, woos, or tries to win affection.
The word also means a teller of romances, especially one who embellishes or fabricates: He was a notorious romancer, and half his war stories were invented.
The sense of someone prone to fanciful exaggeration has largely overtaken the courtship meaning.
