lothario
Predatory romantic schemer
A lothario is a man who seduces women, typically one who pursues many conquests with little emotional attachment.
The term comes from a character in an early 18th-century play and carries connotations of charm combined with insincerity: He fancied himself a lothario, but women saw through his act.
