rockers

Seats that sway

Rockers are curved pieces attached to the bottom of a chair or cradle that allow it to rock back and forth smoothly.

The term extends to anyone who rocks: fans and performers of rock music are rockers, as are people who sit in rocking chairs.

In British slang, rockers were leather-clad motorcycle enthusiasts in the 1960s who famously clashed with mods.

The phrase off one's rocker means mentally unstable or crazy.
