rhinos

Crash of heavyweights

Rhinos is the plural of rhino, a shortened form of rhinoceros—the large, thick-skinned mammal with one or two horns on its snout.

The clipped form is standard in casual speech: The safari took us past a watering hole where rhinos gathered.

In British slang, rhino is also old-fashioned for money, though this use is largely obsolete.
