wallow
Roll in muck
Wallow originally describes how pigs and other animals roll in mud or dust—a pleasurable, messy immersion.
The meaning extends to humans indulging in something, usually negative: wallowing in self-pity, wallowing in grief.
To wallow in luxury or wealth carries less judgment.
A wallow is also the muddy place where animals do this: a buffalo wallow.
